Mulberry Winter Hat

This woman’s hat is made in a heavy weight crushed velvet in a rich purple / mulberry colour. The hat is a bucket style with a narrow down-turned brim and is beautifully lined with a coordinating taffeta print. The size is 21/5″ and the brim is 1.5″ wide at the front. The sideband height is 4″.

The hat pattern is by Nicole Mallalieu designs and is reproduced with permission. This is a structured hat and I do not recommend washing, other than spot cleaning. Consider a stain resistance spray or a water proofing spray, if you wish. When I don’t have a hat stand available for storing, I rest hats on the crown so as not to affect the brim.
